Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"One of the best value restaurants in Munich. The food is always incredibly tasty with so many fresh and aromatic herbs. It’s become a local favourite for us. Also open for lunch. Papaya salad is very good to start. Also serves non alcoholic beer. Note: cash only, no bathroom. Worth calling in advance to get a table because it’s a small place. Pictured: #21 crispy duck and #40 aromatic duck pancakes."
"The bowl of bún riêu was huge. The pork cake smelled a bit off, so I skipped it, but the lady owner gave me an extra plate of vegetables, which was the best part for me."
"My favorite place since the owner is super friendly and of course the food is always so tasty here. I already finished the menu and love all items here. They have secret menu for local, you should definitely ask for dishes of the day. Try the vietnamese drinks as well. For me, food can cheers me up especially good food at Ha Noi Pho. I come here every week and all my friends love it."
"Not really a review, but it might be interesting that the name of the restaurant does not refer to the noodle dish Phở Hà Nội. It is Hà Nội Phố, meaning streets of Hanoi, probably referring to the famous poem Em Ơi Hà Nội Phố or the song that is based on it. Aside from that, food and everything is fine but not spectacular. Definitely good value for the price."
"Arrived at 14:25 on a Saturday and even though they were going to close at 15:00, they still allowed me and a few other customers who came after me to sit down. The female server was nice and smiling all the time. Another guy who looked like the owner kept checking if I was happy with the food. It’s a small place where you’d just come, finish eating and get going. Food was good and I’d come back for a quick meal."
"I had the best bun cha in this place. It was fresh and not overly spiced. The waiter was friendly. However from my experience and opinion, eating at the restaurant wasn't so comfortable. It had very strong smell and especially once you got out of the place the smell just stick in your clothes until the next day. It could be from the poor ventilation or the place was just small. Hopefully they can work on it. Please note that they only accept cash here and there's no toilet for customers."
"Small location but very high quality food, with fairly good service and polite staff. They serve a variety of Vietnamese food, which is prepared on site and all is extremely good. I would recommend the Roast Pork Salad (33) and the Chicken Soup (16)."
"I'm a Vietnamese and I must say Pho here is amazing! When we eat Pho, the broth is always the main indicator whether a bowl of Pho is good or amazing and here they make amazing broth! The great thing is not only Pho is amazing, there are many choices to experience Vietnamese cuisine! The owner is extremely nice as well (when he knew we are students, he gave us discount). Due to the pandemic, I cannot go back to visit Vietnam and this place makes me feel like home. Next time I will add more photos of their great dishes! Notice: You can only pay with cash and in case you need to withdraw, the nearest atm is the U-station"
